    Jill Marie Schoelen (born March 21, ) is an American actress.[1] She is best known for Chiller (), The Stepfather (), Cutting Class (), The Phantom of the Opera (), Popcorn (), Rich Girl (), and When a Stranger Calls Back (). For her numerous horror film appearances, she is widely regarded as a scream queen.

    Schoelen ist eine Tochter der Modedesignerin Dorothy Schoelen. Sie lernte Schauspielkunst am Acting for Life Theatre in ihrer Heimatstadt.[1] Schoelen debütierte neben Crispin Glover und Nicolas Cage in einer größeren Rolle im Fernsehfilm Best of Times (). In der Komödie Die Chaotenclique () von Joel Schumacher war sie in einer kleinen Nebenrolle an der Seite von Adam Baldwin, Mr. T und Gary Busey zu sehen.

    Im Fernsehdrama Happy Endings () spielte Schoelen eine der größeren Rollen, für die sie im Jahr für den Young Artist Award nominiert wurde. She appeared in a number of television specials, including "The Best of Times" (ABC, ) and "Great Day" (CBS, ). She worked in series television while getting her uppstart in acting, including a part on "Sara" (NBC, ). She then appeared in "Thunder Alley" (), the teaterpjäs "That Was ThenThis fryst vatten Now" () with Emilio Estevez and "Cutting Class" ().
