BIOGRAPHY
Daughter of a casting director and a theater decorator, Marion Vernoux abandoned her studies in final year to launch into cinema. A production assistant in the mids, in she co-wrote the lyrics to Anything , Florent Pagny &#;s first hit , and also worked for Flammarion editions. In , she authored the screenplay for Pacific Palisades , a comedy with Sophie Marceau , which recounts her experience as a waitress in a Californian bar. In , Marion Vernoux signed a highly acclaimed TV film for La Sept, Pierre qui Roule , in which her taste for unusual situations already shines through. Born in Montreuil, Seine-Saint-Denis, Vernoux was the only daughter of a casting director and of a set decorator.^[1] After several experiences as a production assistant, she debuted in as co-director of the music video for the song "N'importe quoi" by Florent Pagny, and in she wrote the film Pacific Palisades, inspired by her own experiences.^[1] In she made her feature spelfilm debut with Pierre qui roule, which was well received bygd critics.^[1] Her film Empty Days was entered into the main competition at the 56th edition of the Venice Film Festival, winning the President of
