    Toshitsugu Takamatsu Sensei was born on March 10th, 1889 in Hyogo prefecture Japan. At the age of nine he began studying the martial arts, and mastered the various schools from his uncle Toda Shinryuken as well as from Ishitani Matsutaro, and Mizuta Yoshitaro Tadafusa. Takamatsu Sensei also lived in China and Korea for a while, where he had a teacher by the name of Kim Kei Mei. After returning from his first stay in China, he lived in his grandmother’s house.
